Students Help Launch LSI Architects New Brand
LSI Architects enlisted the help of students from both the Film and Moving Imagery Students from Norwich University of Arts (NUA) and Catering students City College Norwich to help launch the brand which would reveal the practice’s renewed vision, leadership and ambitions for the future. Students from NUA worked closely with the brand team at LSI to produce a video that represented Life Touching Design.
Students from Norwich City College, working with Devour, were also involved in the preparing and serving of catering and drink for a guest list of 190 people from the regional construction industry.
“LSI has always been committed to giving young talent an opportunity to flourish and because this continues to be an important component of our brand and our values. We felt it was fitting to ask local students to play a role in launching our new identity. The video produced by the NUA students showcased some of the excellent talent that is located right on our doorstep and our decision to use Norwich City College catering students was endorsed when we received such positive feedback about the extremely high standard of catering delivered to for our guests.” – Ben Goode, Partner
“Working with live clients, like LSI, offers NUA students a rare opportunity to develop the skills they need to work in the commercial world. NUA graduates already enjoy high levels of employment – 92% of them are employed 6 months after leaving us, and this type of experience enables them to grow their professional confidence.” – Sarah Steed, Business Director at NUA
“LSI partnering together with students from Norwich University of the Arts to create a statement for their business, has been an amazing experience that has taught me a huge range of skills. I learned quickly how to work in tandem with a client, being respectful of their vision whilst also adding in your own thoughts and ideas. I also quickly discovered, as producer, that you need to constantly be aware that problems could occur and you need to have a solution ready!” – Oliver Briscall-Harvey, 2nd Year BA Film and Moving Image Production student at NUA
“This is the second event that we have been commissioned to provide catering for LSI after a successful event in the summer. These events have given hospitality and catering students from City College Norwich the chance to extend their skills and gain valuable additional experience, whilst getting paid for this work. Devour’s work with LSI has been particularly beneficial for students because it has introduced them to different and innovative styles of event catering and given them experience of working in some of Norwich’s most iconic venues.” – Sam Brown, Managing Director at Devour
“It’s useful work experience and it’s also good to be doing something where you are getting paid as you would in the working world.” – Jack Bobbin, Hospitality Supervision Level 3 Student at City College Norwich
