Benjamin Wall Associate

Working within the acute healthcare team Ben has significant experience of private and NHS healthcare projects, including work at Holly House Hospital and Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

Ben leads LSI’s dementia design review process. His wealth of experience in the design and delivery of dementia specific environments includes the Minsmere Ward at Beccles Hospital, named ‘best dementia care facility’ at the 2018 Building Better Healthcare Awards.  Ben has spoken at numerous events around dementia care, including the University of Surrey Advances in dementia care design, technology and practice conference.

At Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Ben’s projects include a £500K dementia ward refurbishment, a £1M refurbishment of ward environments as part of a Winter Capacity scheme and a £300K research and development space for the University of Cambridge at the Addenbrooke’s Site. He has worked with Guy’s and St Thomas’ as project architect of a renal outpatient’s relocation scheme and foetal cardiology unit for the Evelina Hospital. In the private healthcare sector, Ben has delivered projects for BMI Healthcare, including a £450K ambulatory care theatre and recovery suite at Shirley Oaks Hospital and a £2.5M redevelopment at The Alexandra Hospital in Manchester, consisting of new senior management suite, main entrance extension, reception area and orthopaedic extension.
