Chris joined LSI in 2012 having worked in the construction industry since 2005 in small and medium-sized practices in Norfolk, whilst pursuing his studies in architectural technology. He has acquired a good understanding of technical building design, especially within the residential sector, with experience ranging from bespoke houses to masterplans, and he has followed through several projects from initial design to completion. He has had first-hand involvement with sustainable design through the application of BREEAM standards, and successfully completed a Code Level 4 house in 2011.
At LSI, he has diversified his portfolio through working on two projects of just under £10M in value: one for an 8-storey, 232-bedroom student residential scheme on the UEA campus constructed in CLT, with a target BREEAM rating of ‘excellent’, and one for a refurbishment and change of use of the Grade 2-listed Town Hall in Wembley to create a through- school for French students. Chris joined both teams post-planning consent, to work on the delivery of these complex, fast-track projects.
