James joined LSI Architects in 2004 as a Pt 1 student, and has dovetailed his continuing education with periods in practice, with the result that his approach demonstrates both practical realism and youthful imagination. James became a fully qualified Architect in November 2014. In his time at the Practice James has developed a fluency with ArchiCAD and became the Practice’s dedicated CAD Manager in 2016 to lead the development of skills across the practice.
His portfolio of construction projects relates mostly to the education sector, ranging from work on an Education Centre at Southend University Hospital, to early stage work at Harpley PRU and George Green Schools in London, and more recently on the £27.5M Hickling House and Barton House student residences at the UEA. For the £1M Leiston Childrens’ Centre he has taken on the role of job runner under the guidance of an associate.
Alongside the construction work, James has built a portfolio of masterplanning experience, ranging from private housing, through leisure, commercial and business park schemes in Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk.
