Trevor joined LSI in 1999, following a decade with Burrell Foley Fischer, working on award-winning arts projects, such as the remodelling of the Theatre Royal, Winchester. He became a partner in 2001 and principal in 2004.
At LSI, a decade’s work for Norwich Union (Aviva) resulted in RIBAEast awards for the Aviva Staff Restaurant, HQ Atrium and Surrey House projects, a BCO award for interiors in the Reed and Willow House offices, and several Data Centre projects. In 2011 a private house on The Broads won a national sustainability, and RIBAEast Housing Awards. His Sustainable Design Guide for the Broads also led to national recognition, the drafting of a Sustainable Design Guide for LSI, and success in an international competition for an Eco-Villa for Qatar.
He is currently completing work on an innovative 8-storey student residences project at UEA using a CLT frame, and a mixed use scheme in London. Overseas projects now focus on large-scale enclosures for waste to renewables technologies, and residential schemes.
He provides strong client liaison and design skills across a broad range of project types.
UEA Crome Court
This 232-bedroom student residences building forms a south-facing U-shape. Constructed in CLT to an exacting programme (brief to opening in 24 months), the project achieved BREEAM Excellent, by incorporating many carbon-reducing measures, and a vertical greenwall, to offset loss of landscape.
Riverside Offices Lowestoft
A 35,000 sq ft purpose built office development which brings together shared public sector services for Suffolk County Council (SCC) and Waveney District Council (WDC).
UEA Blackdale Student Residences
The 514 bed Blackdale student residence scheme provides an attractive new residential quarter for the University which follows a pattern of development that relates to the original campus buildings and also to the local environment.
Two LSI teams provided segregated roles on this prestigious development converting Aviva’s HQ. One provided client liaison services for Architecture and ID, the other worked with developer LST to design a new, 1,000+ sqm atrium linked to offices and forming a new visitor entrance from the Grade 1 Listed Surrey House.
Aviva Call Centre
A Call Centre to accommodate approximately 700 people, ready for occupation in under a year, and to a budget equivalent to a warehouse development.
An RIBA Award-winning 4-bedroom, sustainable, timber and glass ‘legacy house’ for the family and the environment on a prominent riverside in the Broads.
Gord Eco Villa
LSI’s promotion of sustainable design in Qatar led to an invitation to participate in a limited international design competition for an Exemplar Eco-Villa for the Qataris, based on local QSAS environmental principles.
A bespoke Sustainability Guide for the Broads Authority, written, illustrated and produced by LSI Architects.
Islington Contact Centre
The first of several projects undertaken on the Islington Framework. This open, customer-facing reception adopted SMART working, a new ‘tone and style’, and included Childrens Services, requiring careful planning of the layout. It was completed within time and budget over eight weeks, while maintaining minimal disruption to Islington’s front-of-house services.
An office development comprising two 30,000 sq ft office buildings, set against two Listed Buildings and an ancient monument.
The project is located in the Dedham Vale, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Access Accounting are a software company whose offices are housed in a converted Victorian village school.
Orsteada House is a replacement dwelling in a mature landscape setting in The Broads which is a unique national park in Norfolk.
UEA CROME COURT WINS CONSTRUCTION COMPUTING AWARD
The Project Team behind the design and construction of the UEA Crome Court Student Residences, led by LSI Architects, has won Collaboration Project of the Year at the 2014 Construction Computing Awards.
Refurbishment Revitalises UEA Union House
The second phase of the project to refurbish Union House at the University of East Anglia has been completed. The fast track design and build project involved the full refurbishment of approximately two thirds of the 3 storey building, which was delivered in just 19 weeks.
