Brook Farm
A sustainable urban extension on the eastern fringe of Norwich to provide 600 new dwellings with community facilities, a further 14 hectares of employment land (c. 57,500 m² of floorspace), a link road to connect the A47 trunk road with the north east suburbs of Norwich and a rail halt on the railway line. The new development logically infills northwards up to the tree belt north of the new road, which becomes the new urban edge. The tree belt and the land to the north then form a strategic landscape buffer. This can be put into community ownership with improved public access and biodiversity and become an enhanced ecological habitat and wildlife corridor.
