Harefield Boarding Academy
LSI Architects were selected nationally by DCSF to design a pathfinder 'State' school boarding facility for the newly opened Harefield Academy in West London. From their extensive student residence project experience LSI have developed a new model for school boarding accommodation, with 50 bedspaces and integrated staff accommodation on 3 stories around a central internal atrium. The project incorporates 20% on-site renewable technologies and has been designed to achieve a BREEAM 'Very Good' rating. To achieve the fast delivery programme the project has been designed utilising pre-fabricated cross-laminated solid timber structure and superstructure.
