Diss Masterplan

South Norfolk District Council instigated this project with the aim of producing material for a public consultation, and the objective of creating an Area Action Plan.
Diss Masterplan

The brownfield site lies between the medieval centre of Diss, with its unique ‘Mere’, and the River Waveney. Possibilities include a series of public open spaces with potential for new housing, workplace, leisure, and retail uses to connect the Town Centre to the River Waveney.  Analyses of the town included investigations into architectural character, land use and densities, building frontages, and traffic and pedestrian movements. LSI illustrated these analyses and proposals which were presented to the public for consultation.

The priorities are to connect the two areas with mixed use development and reduce the impact of a main road which splits the town at present.
