Orsteada House

Orsteada House is a replacement dwelling in a mature landscape setting in The Broads which is a unique national park in Norfolk.
Orsteada House

The four storey, five bedroom home incorporates living space with adjoining terraces within a distinctive curving roof structure, and a swimming pool with associated facilities below an earth bank.

The house was developed on sustainable design principles, aiming to achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4, and incorporates ground-source heat-pumps and photo-voltaics to provide heating, hot water and electricity for the building and pool.

To reduce the impact of the building in the landscape, the home is clad in timber and the creation of rooms below the curving sedum roof has reduced the mass of the structure.
