James joined LSI as an Architectural Assistant in 2016 and completed his RIBA Part 3 qualification in 2018. Before joining LSI he spent 3 years at Annabelle Tugby Architects, where he worked on residential projects for a range of clients, from house extensions to estates, as well as completing his RIBA Part 2. Since joining LSI James has focused mostly on projects in the Education sector, alongside some residential. This has involved work on multiple EFA schools across London on both design and contractor lead projects. These projects have spanned both primary and secondary education, including the ATAM Academy in Redbridge, a new build Sikh Faith through School, the Sir Francis Drake Primary School in Lewisham, and the Bridge Academy, an Alternative Provision Secondary School in Fulham specialising in ASD and SEBD.
Alongside his design work James has gained a variety of experiences from work placements, from practical site experience as a builder in Manchester, through representing the Manchester School of Architecture in a collaborative completion in Havana, to producing a VR walkthrough in the Unity gaming programme to showcase the potential of gaming software in architectural design.
