The client’s aim is to maximise the number of residential flats permissible to the rear of the site, together with a new retail/commercial office space to the front of the site with basement and sub-basement, whilst maintaining their ethos of ethical development.
LSI are leading the development strategy for this site following two unsuccessful Planning Applications from other practices. In response to the client’s brief, a series of initial options were prepared and tested in consultation with key stakeholders. The preferred solution was developed by the project team in conjunction with the client and planning consultants, and has been shaped by neighbour and stakeholder consultations, detailed pre-application discussions with the local planning authority and through technical advice from a range of experienced consultees.
