These New Civic Offices for the City of York Council comprises of 13,500m² of office space and new customer facilities through the conversion and extension of Yorkshire House, a 1960s office building in a prominent location in the historic centre of the City.

A new extension is linked to the existing building with an atrium providing open and transparent office space which promotes the use of natural daylight and natural ventilation. A new glazed rooftop extension will provide unique views across the city to the Minster.
Designed to achieve a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating the scheme makes use of bio-mass to heat the building.
