LSI Architects 3 Peaks Challenge – Completed!

Between the 9th and 11th September 2022, 20 of our employees completed the National 3 Peaks Challenge raising an incredible £20,000 for mental health charity Mind.

The National 3 Peaks Challenge is a fast-paced and physically challenging adventure which saw Team LSI Architects trek a total of 26 miles and climb a combined height of 3000m, with the goal of finishing within 24 hours.

At 978m Scafell Pike is the tallest mountain in England; Snowdon is the tallest in Wales at 1085m and Ben Nevis, at 1345m, is the tallest in Scotland and the tallest of the three mountains.

The team set off from Glen Nevis, Scotland, at 5am on the 10th September to climb Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles. After a night time descent of Scafell Pike, a final transfer saw the team arrive in Snowdonia to complete the final leg of the challenge; Snowdon.

Here are their exact times:

  • Ben Nevis – 5 hours 10 minutes
  • Scafell Pike – 3 hours 30 minutes
  • Snowdon – 4 hours 15 minutes
  • Driving time – 9 hours 30 minutes
  • TOTAL – 22 HOURS 55 MINUTES

Whilst our team recover from the inevitably sore legs, we’d like to thank everyone who has made a donation towards their efforts. They have each put in hours of training, which has clearly paid off. You can see the grand total here, all of which will be going to Mind: https://www.justgiving.com/team/LSIArchitects

LSI Architects have been working alongside Mind since 2016 to raise the profile of mental health and wellbeing in the workplace and become a more open and supportive organisation. As a charity, Mind provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.

We’d also like to thank Charity Challenge for inspiring us to undertake the challenge, and safely guiding us up the UK’s three highest peaks.
