Langley Grammar School

Part of the Priority Schools Building Programme, the £18M Langley Grammar School scheme comprised the demolition of the School’s original 1950’s central blocks, having come to the end of their useful life, and replacement with two new buildings: one containing front of house facilities for the whole site, and the other containing teaching accommodation.
The creation of a new heart space, where pupils of all ages could congregate, has driven the design of the scheme both externally and internally. The positioning of the new buildings on the site also creates a new central communal playground and external dining area.
New facilities across the site include a school library, dance studio and sixth form centre, along with general teaching accommodation.
The new buildings are designed to ensure that the school has sufficient accommodation for approximately 1250 students.
