NCFC Recovery Hub named a Finalist in CIAT AT Awards

Our project at Norwich City Football Club’s new Recovery Hub has been shortlisted for the New Build of the Year Award at the 2025 CIAT AT Awards.

Showcasing the technology of architecture at its best, the AT Awards ceremony will be held in London on 26th September. The awards recognise the exceptional contribution that Architectural Technology practices and professionals make to the built environment, as well as outstanding achievements from students studying the discipline.

Entries are assessed in terms of their innovative response to Architectural Technology, with a judges looking for robust and functional designs that have been constructed economically, are environmentally sustainable, and of durable performance.

The new Recovery Hub, which has been specifically designed to support elite level player recovery through hydrotherapy, houses a range of specialised equipment including a 15m swimming pool, hot and cold recovery baths, a Hydroworx underwater treadmill, and camera systems to monitor movements. The state-of-the-art facility provides players with the optimal environment to recover and rehabilitate, aligning perfectly with the Club’s vision of being seen as genuine leaders in the football world.

“We really enjoy working with LSI Architects, our relationship with them has become ever stronger as they have developed a clear understanding of the club and our needs. With the recently opened Recovery Hub, they have created another first-class facility at the Avant Training Centre, and at all stages we felt they were working alongside us to ensure the scheme delivered everything we needed. Their attention to detail was also meticulous – not just in the design itself, but also in ensuring the project went as smoothly as possible with minimal disruption to our day-to-day activities.

The response to the new Recovery Hub facility has been excellent, and both players and staff are delighted with the addition to the outstanding facilities available at the Avant Training Centre, to support them in their performance and recovery. Long-term, I am confident we will see the intended benefits of the facility in terms of reduced injuries and improved recovery times, which will mean our players, across all levels, can be out on the pitch doing what they do best more of the time.”
