Our Blackdale student residences development project has featured in the Architect’s Journal’s Architecture Tomorrow exhibition at MIPIM UK, the UK’s largest exhibition and conference for property professionals.
LSI featured as part of the MIPIM UK exhibition in its inaugural year last year, and this year feature in the University Buildings category.
Rory Olcayto, Editor of the Architects Journal commented that Architecture Tomorrow at MIPIM UK “showcases projects that will be built – real projects by architects who have moved their designs beyond a sketch and have secured clients to make them a reality. In essence, it provides a snapshot of the built environment as it will be in coming years.”
The Blackdale project, which is now on site and being constructed by RG Carter, will provide an attractive new residential quarter for the University, following a pattern of development that relates to the original campus buildings and also to the local environment.
Like Crome Court, our recently completed student residences at the UEA and winner of a 2015 RICS Award, the development will act as a significant catalyst for economic activity for the area, providing hundreds of jobs over the next few years and a new income stream for the UEA that will help support ground breaking research and teaching facilities at the University.
