LSI Architects appoints Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer
We are delighted to announced that as of the 1st December Directors Ben Goode and David Andrews have assumed the roles of Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer, respectively. Chris Murphy will also be joining the Board as a Non-Executive Director.
As CEO, Ben will be responsible for the strategic direction, our people and performance of the business – both financially and in relation to our systems and processes – and for infrastructure and employee development and satisfaction.
As COO, David will have responsibility for project performance and client satisfaction, though will continue to spend the majority of his time procuring and delivering projects in the Healthcare sector.
New CEO Ben Goode said of his appointment:
“As an executive team we have faced the significant challenge of being responsible for guiding the business through a global pandemic.
Establishing a much clearer and more defined structure for decision making during this time meant that we have been much more able to adapt to a constantly changing environment. It’s also given our Directors more time and space to play to their strengths and contribute to strategy where their skills and experience lay and, as a result, we have made the decision to formalise this structure.
Our profile and presence within the construction industry continues to grow. With that, our business has gradually become larger, which has led to us needing to think about how we best deploy our talented team of people.
All of these changes are designed to give greater clarity to the whole organisation, to help us better balance our roles with the needs of our business and the needs of our team.”
New COO, David Andrews, commented.
“We recognise that first and foremost we are an architectural practice and this core skill needs representing at the very highest level of our business. The quality of our work and delighting clients is where our heart is.
Ultimately, we believe that by assigning clear responsibility for areas of the business we can give Project Director time back to our teams, where it is best spent. This will help our Project Directors to make sure they are giving our teams the time and support they need to help us all deliver projects of the highest quality and advance our just cause to improve lives, build communities and enhance society.”
Chris Murphy joins LSI Architects as Non-exec Director offering an independent perspective and supporting Ben, David and the broader team.
Ben commented:
“Chris brings a blend of relevant experience, having owned and run a brand and marketing agency of a comparable size (and with Norwich and London offices), which also operated in the professional services environment. He shares our belief in the importance of meaningful values and a supportive culture. He knows us well having helped with our re-brand 5 years ago and will be a valuable ’critical friend’ moving forward.”
