Norfolk Community Diagnostic Centres win Building Better Healthcare Award

We are proud to share that our work to deliver two new Community Diagnostic Centres in Norfolk has won a Building Better Healthcare Award.

The Community Diagnostic Centres, located at James Paget University Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn, have been named the Best Healthcare Development under £25M.

The Building Better Healthcare Awards are among the UK’s leading events recognising innovation and outstanding achievement in the healthcare built environment.

LSI Architects were commissioned by NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care System to deliver new diagnostic centres at the two hospital sites. Designed with wellbeing and sustainability in mind, the outstanding new centres provide diagnostic care closer to home and support staff with modern, efficient environments.

With each building having capacity for 40,000 outpatient appointments annually, these facilities not only meet immediate healthcare needs but also contribute to long-term health equity and environmental responsibility across the region.

Steven Cotton, Director and Project Lead, said: “As a team we are very proud of our work on the Norfolk Community Diagnostic Programme. The two centres at the James Paget University Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital are having a fantastic impact for patients in the region by reducing waiting times and improving health outcomes, we’re delighted to see this recognised with a Building Better Healthcare Award.”
