Wymondham Prep School

The design and construction of a new state primary boarding school for the Sapientia Education Trust (SET) situated within the grounds of Wymondham College, in Norfolk.

The project encompasses a new two-storey 2FE primary school building including general teaching classrooms, dedicated DT classroom, library, SEN spaces, Hall and all necessary staff and support areas.

Alongside the new primary school, the Trust offers Underwood Hall, a new boarding block for Year 5 and 6 pupils. Boarding facilities include 8no. 4 pupil shared bedrooms, recreation, and dining spaces, as well as three staff units including a matron’s flat. Underwood Hall is also home to Mabel the golden Labrador, for children to cuddle if they get homesick.

As well as the building work, a new MultiUse Games Area (MUGA), additional car parking spaces, external play areas and landscaping were included in the project scope.

Through the new facilities, the Trust is able to provide 450 day places and 32 boarding places.
