A re-fresh of the existing 1960’s UEA lecture theatres and associated foyer areas to improve the first impression students and parents get from the University as well as improve the experience of using these spaces for the students and lecturers on a day to day basis. A new external lift improves accessibility and provides a new frontage to the building which is informed by glazing bays on Lasdun’s Teaching Wall. New windows to the main foyer spaces  improve natural lighting and views out onto the landscape while creating a more active frontage facing the campus showing a fresh and more welcoming internal arrangement. The removal of redundant projection booths maximised seating capacity within the lecture theatres.
