James Cooper Architectural Technologist

James joined LSI in 2019 as a Trainee Architectural Technologist after completing his A-levels at Paston College. Before starting his role, he undertook work experience with LSI earlier that year, as well as at another architectural practice.

While working at LSI, James completed his HND in Construction and the Built Environment in 2022. He went on to achieve a First Class Honours degree in BSc Architectural Technology in 2025, studying via apprenticeship at London South Bank University.

Following the completion of his degree, James received four awards recognising his academic success: the CIAT Greater London Region Student Award, the CIAT Outstanding Graduating Student Award, the CIOB Certificate of Excellence for the Highest Degree Score in the 2025 Cohort, and the LSBU Certificate of Excellence for Apprentice of the Year.

James has established himself as a dedicated and talented young professional. He now leads several of our education sector projects, including the rebuild and refurbishment of the Hewett Academy in Nowich, bringing a keen eye for technical coordination. As an excellent role model, he also supports our junior colleagues, actively contributing to our ‘grow our own’ ethos.
