Building Safety Act: Supporting Clients to Understand The Requirements
Providing clarity to clients and project teams on the Building Safety Act and the duties imposed.
The Building Safety Act has been with us and in force for just over a year now. The Act, along with the updated secondary legislation, has created some confusion across the Construction industry.
As a result of the additional responsibilities the Act has placed on us as Designers, and having delivered the Building Regulations Principal Designer service for over a year now, we have developed a sound understanding of the requirements, meaning we are well placed to share this knowledge.
Over the past few months, our registered CIAT Principal Designer, supported by experienced members of our technical team, has presented to numerous Clients, Contractors and other Consultants to assist our industry colleagues in understanding the latest regulations and changes implemented by the Building Safety Act, with incredibly positive feedback to date.
In our Building Safety Act sessions, we highlight the additional responsibilities that are introduced to clients following the implementation of the Building Safety Act and the subsequent updated secondary legislation, as well as describing the roles of the key duty holders, Principal Contractor and Principal Designer. This also includes the introduction of Higher Risk Buildings along with the Gateway processes.
If you’d like to know more about our Building Regulations Principal Designer service, or if we can help you with your project or provide our update to your team, then please get in touch.
