Each of the three floors provide open plan accommodation which may be subdivided in a number of different ways to provide flexible office accommodation. Bold terracotta cladding identifies the main entrance, and the L-shaped plan is punctuated with full height glazing in the external envelope where the two wings meet. This transparency through the centre of the building gives each wing a greater sense of self-identity. The scheme makes a significant contribution to a green infrastructure plan which links various important wildlife sites within the area.The brief was for high environmental performance, and the building achieved a BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’.
