Fair Havens Hospice up for Healthcare Estates IHEEM Award

The 16 bed new Fair Havens Hospice building for Havens Hospices in Southend has been shortlisted for Best New Build Project of the Year at the 2021 Healthcare Estates IHEEM Awards.

Fair Havens Hospice provides specialist care for adults, from the age of 19, with life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinsons, cardiac disease, Muscular Dystrophy and neurological conditions.

The new building means the Hospice can care for twice as many patients, and offer more treatments, in a welcoming, therapeutic environment that incorporates all the elements that are crucial when designing for end-of-life care.

The Healthcare Estates IHEEM Awards recognise award excellence in the latest innovations from the leading names in the healthcare sector. The Awards are judged by experts with extensive experience and achievements within the NHS and commercial healthcare sector.

LSI Architects has also been shortlisted in the Architectural Practice of the Year category.

The awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday 19 October.
