James Lake Associate - BIM Manager

James joined LSI in 2004 as a Part 1 student, he obtained his Part 2 qualification from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2010, continuing to contribute to projects at LSI throughout. James became a fully qualified Architect in November 2014. Projects contributed to at LSI vary extensively, from a Children’s’ Centre in Suffolk to a 514 bed Student Residence scheme at the UEA.

During this time he became fluent in ArchiCAD alongside developing his construction knowledge and experience. Always keen to involve himself in a number of CAD skills and BIM development initiatives within the practice, James took on a full time position as BIM Manager in January 2017.

A certified BIM practitioner, James is responsible for delivering LSI’s overall BIM Strategy and the continued development of our staff – something he is extremely passionate about. He is actively involved in our Quality Assurance processes and Project Management procedures. Ongoing template development and the alignment of our systems to BIM processes and current British Standards is currently at the centre of his work.

Together with his team, James continually explores new workflows through innovation, striving to improve the quality and efficiency of our output. His ongoing commitment, enthusiasm and experience ensure we remain leaders in the industry.
